One of the best places to trek in Thailand is in the area around Umphang Wildlife Sanctuary, located in the northwest. Umphang Wildlife Sanctuary was declared a UNESCO heritage site in 1999. The beautiful landscape is ideal for trekking and rafting with the Mae Klong River running alongside through rocky 400 meter tall crevices.
